Senior Technical Lead Position

Summary
We are currently searching for a highly experienced developer who thrives on constant change and challenge to join our team. Reporting to our CTO, the Senior Technical Leader will be responsible for the development and integration of our design projects to create a flawless user experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web standards, usability, integration with in-depth Google Analytics tracking, performance, and be driven to constantly learn the latest web technologies.

Responsibilities
• Create / edit new website pages, landing and product pages. Some designs are pre-determined, however the ability to make aesthetic design changes based on themes and specifications from our creative team is essential. Issues of accessibility and responsiveness must always be taken into account.
• Maintain images, banners, online advertisements, and landing pages as required.
• Design the structure and front-end functionality of interactive content ensuring stability, page speed efficiency and cross platform support.
• Contribute to the improvement of team processes and the development of new technologies within the platform.
• Assist in quality control and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team with content writers, graphic designers, SEO specialists and web developers/programmers and contribute to building standards, tools and approaches.
• Experience with WordPress and backend technologies such as PHP, MySQL, Firebase

Requirements
• Minimum of 7 years of development in a professional environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in: Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics (or equivalent education/experience)
• Proficient with current front-end coding and design standards including HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and Bootstrap 4.
• Relational and/or noSQL databases, SQL queries and object relational mapping tools
• Experience with development tools, including GIT, Composer, and Yarn.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript and jQuery.
• Proven experience using graphics development tools, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or equivalent.
• Experience using several of the following: HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XHTML, JSON, & SQL
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• A sense of humour and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
Additional Assets
• Experience / knowledge of Agile principles and the ability to adapt to new and evolving environments.
