JOB QUALIFICATION:
• Preferably a graduate of any Engineering course but any bachelor’s degree may be considered
• At least 1-3 years of working experience as safety officer in construction industry with preferably with 5 years of supervisory experience in related position.
• Must have BOSH and COSH (40h) Training
• With First Aid Training
• Extensive exposure to Highrise building construction/painting is an advantage
• Above average English and Filipino communication skills
• With good communication and collaboration skill
• Able to work on a flexible time schedule, (e.g. Saturday and Sunday)
• Able to work with multiple project sites
JOB DESCRIPTION
• To plan, organize, and control safety programs to be implemented on sites in accordance to the safety requirements of General Contractor
• Advise the Management in all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment matters
• Implement OSH defined plans, programs, and initiatives which is of compliance to legal and DOLE requirements
• Ensures that laborers on site are working safely by providing proper work instruction and safety precautions
• Makes sure that laborers use proper tools and equipments in performing their tasks
• Report all incidents involving injury, near misses, damage to property, and non-compliance on site.
• Attend toolbox meeting (TBM) and highlight all hazards and the safety issues as per progress of work
• Submit and comply reports in Safety compliance to Gencon/client
• Maintain an adequate system of investigation, reporting, and keeping
• Conducts inspection and ensures all personnel are wearing their PPE
• Conduct risks assessment and enforce preventive measures
• Prepares and submits incident reports
• Conduct compliance reviews and comply with all applicable legal requirements in Safety and Security
• Conduct regular walk-through audits and inspections to detect hazard and risk and how to address them appropriately
• Initiate the implementation of corrective and preventive action plans in order to mitigate injuries and illnesses
• Provide support with the incident investigation team ensuring identification of root causes for major incidents
