Home-based online English teacher

We’re looking for potential teachers who love working with kids. 51Talk teachers love to make learning fun, and they bring excitement and energy to every lesson! Aspiring teachers without experience are welcome to apply.

Job Summary
• Teach English to young Chinese learners online in a fun and engaging way
• Evaluate the learner’s performance and provide corrective feedback
• Study the provided teaching material and always start lessons prepared and on time
• Conduct 25-minute one-on-one online lessons with students
• Create a lesson memo with the necessary feedback about the topics discussed

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree / Graduate of a 4-year course
• Experience teaching kids / K12 / Early Childhood / Elementary (preferred but not required)
• English teaching certifications such as LET / TEYL / TESOL / TEFL (preferred but not required)
• Must have passion, energy, and enthusiasm in teaching

Teaching Schedule
• Availability to teach at least 33.5 hours per cutoff (each lesson lasts 25 minutes) during the following peak times:
* 7p.m. - 10p.m. (Mon-Fri)
* 9a.m. - 10p.m. (Sat-Sun)

Technical Requirements:
* CPU / Processor - Dual core processor 1Ghz or above, Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 or AMD equivalent is highly required
* RAM - At least 2GB of RAM (4 GB is recommended) with 60GB free hard disk space available
* Headset - A headset with a noise-cancelling feature & a high-definition webcam
* Internet Connection - 3 Mbps and up wired DSL Internet connection (USB sticks, signal-based & wireless connections are not allowed)
