Copywriter + Virtual Assistant for Shopify Store

Hello and welcome! We are looking for a copywriter with experience creating persuasive, punchy, sales-driven content in the form of written product descriptions and ad copy in our Shopify store(s). The main role in this job is writing PERSUASIVE copy that SELLS. Less informational and more emotional. Recent studies have found customers make a majority of their purchase desisions based more on emotions, and less on reason and logic. We've found the same to be true in our sales experience.

The goal of this position is, when presented with a product you may never have seen before, first conduct market research and learn to speak the customer's language. Then, in the copy, aggravate a pain point (a problem), then provide a solution (our product). Focus not on the features, but on the BENEFITS that the features provide. Requirements:
- Need to be fully fluent in written and spoken English
- Need to have a deep understanding of how to market through written content
- Need to have proficient experience in navigating both Upgrade to see actual info and Facebook Business
- Need to have a smartphone with internet access
- Need to be comfortable with downloading necessary smartphone applications (if applicable)
- Need to be comfortable with having a short pre-employment interview and screening
- Need to be comfortable with attending team calls on a weekly or monthly basis

Responsibilities:
- Import products, and setup product pages in our Shopify backend
- Draft a product title, product description, video script (which is just a condensed version of the product description) and advertising copy (for Facebook post)
- Setup Facebook page post(s) with provided video content and drafted ad copy
- Maintain an atmosphere of personal investment in each product assignment given
- Communicate on Skype and/or Slack on a daily basis with any issues or questions

Note: This is expected to be a long-term position. Product assignments start at one per day (5 days a week) and will eventually increase to up 5 product assignments per day (at our discretion).
