Have you researched speaking gigs and contacts who hire speakers before? If so, we need you! I mentor new speakers into the speaking business and I need help finding contacts for people who hire speakers (free or paid) in the U.S. on a local, statewide, and national level. My clients will do all their own booking so there is NO SALES involved with this work.
The specific task is for you to find all of the local networking groups, Meetups, association meetings, Chambers of Commerce, seminars, as well as regional and national conferences that need speakers every week/month/year for their weekly/monthly/annual events. We are seeking United States speaking opportunities only for now.
I have a partial list for you to call to verify if the contacts are still there. But, that's just a small list to get you started. Most of your task would be to find new events we don't have in our database, categorize them, and enter details into our online database.
The best fit for this work must be willing to, and enjoy, calling people on the phone constantly. Most of the contacts you find will only talk to you if you reach out to them by phone until they get to know you. So, it's important that you have little or no non-U.S. accent in your voice. This is an ongoing gig and potential for full-time AND potential for you to be put in charge of finding a helper or two so the database can be kept up-to-date over the coming *years* for all speaking contacts in the U.S. I'm happy to pay day-by-day at first and then week-by-week after you trust me to pay for your help. Bonuses for quality and speed of work will be offered as well.
Please indicate in your reply a description of the kind of work you have done before in this area, any speakers you've worked for in the past in this area, or "similar" work that you could quickly apply to this industry. Start immediately.
