As a Doctoral Program Advisor, you are expected to implement, develop, and monitor program and student-level assessments including, but not limited to:
Advising students in doctoral research process (dissertation writing); starting from proposal development to final draft submission.
Coaching and inspiring students with life or other circumstances to ensure online course attendance
Maintain professional knowledge with a focus on encouraging student development through participation and other means of networking
communicates programmatic policies and curriculum requirements, and provides timely coursework advising for completion of all doctoral degree requirements
Providing trusting environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests
Acting as the student liaison between other departments
Possessing a thorough understanding of university policies, procedures, requirements, and effectively communicating them to students
maintains applicant and student databases to help meet the graduate enrollment goals of the university.
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of Doctoral Degree in Management, Business Administration, Leadership, Educational Leadership or any other related field of study
3 years experience in professional academic advisement experience, ideally with graduate or undergraduate populations in a university environment and knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Prior knowledge of academic policies and procedures preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
This is a work from home, part time position which will be carried out as per the university
