Production Assistant (Video and Graphics Editing)

We are seeking a Video and Graphics Production Assistant from overseas (not USA) interested in working for a popular fitness website. This is a potentially long term position, depending upon performance. This means you spend more time earning money and less time searching for your next job. We prefer someone who can work full-time but will consider a part-time contractor.

Duties may include creating animated GIFs from videos, editing videos, simple graphics editing, file management, editing website pages, editing database, and other miscellaneous tasks. Training and software will be provided. Beyond video and graphics editing, additional skills or experience would be preferred but not required (eg: website maintenance, SEO, article editing, project management, interest in strength & conditioning, etc).

Candidates must have good verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. They also must be able to show up to meetings on time and be self motivated to work full time long-term without reminders or pep talks. Please do not apply if you have difficulty with these sort of things. Really, don’t even contemplate it (you know who you are).

Candidates should also be detail oriented, be able to follow directions, and take and organize meeting notes, while being able to prioritize and manage multiple ---------- addition, they should also have a reliable internet connection and have the ability to communicate verbally via Skype or Google Hangouts.

We will be introducing 4K videos in the near future. This means you must have a computer capable of editing 4K video. You will need sufficient processing power (eg: quad core Intel i5 processor, AMD’s R5-3500U CPU) preferably a graphics processor, and at least 8GB of RAM. With this minimum amount of RAM, you need to configure your computer so there are very few background processes running preferably under a seperate user account. If you’re not sure, please research the minimum versus ideal system requirements and how to prepare a mid-ranged machine for 4K editing.

If your computer does not already have an SSD, you will at least need a high speed port such as USB-3.0 (preferably a USB-C or USB 3.1) to accommodate an external SSD we may be able to lend you if you do not already have one in your machine. Consider all options in finding a suitable setup for 4K editing, Some models of laptops have a second bay to accommodate an internal SSD and RAM can always be added.

If you’re considering replacing your computer, a used or refurbished models can be purchased for a fraction of the original retail price. More recently manufactured computers make 4K editing even more affordable than before (between $500 to $700 USD)

Only candidates willing to work for the posted rate or less will be considered for this long term, full-time position. For this reason, this is not a job for contractors from US or other westernized countries with a significantly higher costs of living. Do not apply if you require a rate which is greater than the posted rate. Requests for a greater pay rate will be ignored. Past contractors have worked for ---------- for 9 years or more. This will be a good full-time, long-term position for the right candidate.
