We are seeking an experienced developer to join our sports software company as an integral part of the product development team.

We are a growing company that teaches clients how to trade sports markets and our unique selling point that ensures membership retention is the specialist software we offer to assist clients with their trading activity.

We have developed this software in house but have reached capacity within the executive team to be able to design, develop and deliver the ideas we have.

You will be responsible for bringing the ideas of the product development lead to life and will have significant influence over the design and delivery of those products. The role will involve balance between back-end coding and front-end design/development of the company’s Wordpress and Drupal websites, as well as ongoing support of the company’s software stack.

Required skills and experience:
-Formal programming training and/or corporate experience
-Extensive experience developing web apps using server- and clientside languages such as Node.js and javascript
-Experience with PHP-based CMS including both Drupal and Wordpress
-Ability to fully scope projects before commencing development
-Ability to create detailed documentation of your work
-Strong problem-solving ability
-Ability to think independently - your ideas will shape the products we create
-Willingness to take an active role in product and process improvement
-Excellent standard of spoken and written English
-No prior interest or knowledge of sports trading is required

Specific Upcoming Projects
-Conversion of existing statistics software to use a different backend API service
-Development of horse racing statistics software
-Development of trading strategy back-testing software
-Development of in-play football trading software
-Migration of Drupal website to Wordpress

General Job Specifications
-Project-based work so you choose your hours, however we would like a commitment of at least 20 hours per week
-Starting rate:Upgrade to see actual infoPHP per hour
-1 month probation period (paid) moving to long-term contract upon successful completion
-Regular performance-based pay reviews
-13th month bonus
-No requirement to work UK office hours
