Bookkeeper/Accountant for UK bookkeeping practise - Xero, QuickBooks, Excel

We are a fast growing bookkeeping business based in the UK looking for a bookkeeper/accountant to join our team.

This is a full time position at 40 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who will learn and grow with our business and if you can prove yourself more and more responsibility will be given and there is potential for pay rises. A growth mindset with the desire to continuously learn is key.

Our clients are mainly based in the UK so you will work afternoon/early evening PH time. We are looking for someone who is flexible with their working hours and is able to occasionally work paid overtime around deadlines starting slightly earlier or finishing slightly later.

Job description
-Using Xero, Quickbooks Online and excel to keep clients books
-Inputting invoices
-Bank reconciliation
-VAT returns
-Payroll
-Assisting with year end accounts and extended trial balance
-Data entry

Job requirements
-Experience of double entry bookkeeping and journals
-Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or both
-Must be able to meet deadlines
-Must have fast internet and fast laptop/computer
-Must have the desire to learn and progress, taking on more an more responsibility
-Must be self motivated and be able to work with little supervision
-Due to the sensitivity of the information internet security, data protection and confidentiality must be taken very seriously

Bonus
-Knowledge and experience with UK companies and HMRC Rules
-Experience with ecommerce business e.g. Amazon/Shopify
