JOB OVERVIEW

---------- is a real estate portal focused on the off-the-plan residential market in Australia.

Founded in 2013 (and acquired by Social Garden in 2018) the website has become a source of truth for consumers looking to discover and learn about current and upcoming new property development projects across Australia.

Due to our recent growth, we’re looking for an experienced Ionic developer to help build out our mobile apps who will work closely with our experienced Technical Product Manager.

What you will be doing…

- Ionic mobile app development - You’ll be using your previous experience in both web and mobile app development, to build out the Urban hybrid app on both iOS and Android platforms
- Agile software development - You’ll be working in a hybrid Scrum and Kanban environment, with daily standups and Kanban boards used to assign priorities
- Working remotely - We have teams in Australia, and offshore in Pakistan and The Philippines.
- You’ll be autonomous, as well as working as part of a team. We encourage collaboration so white remote you’ll be part of a tight knit team
- Working with designers / UX - We are design lead, so requirements are thoughtfully designed and implemented - using your keen eye and experience with what will and won’t work in a mobile environment

Ideally, you should have

- Experience developing mobile apps using Ionic Framework 4+
- Strong experience in web development technologies, specifically JavaScript (ES6 and TypeScript 3+), Angular 7+ and HTML5 / CSS
- Though not a requirement, experience developing either native iOS or Android apps would be a bonus
- Comfort working with git / github, submitting pull requests, etc
- Experience integrating and documenting RESTful APIs
- Experience working in an agile environment, and are familiarly with Scrum, gitflow, and continuous integration
- Great attention to detail and a keen eye for mobile interface design
- Troubleshooting skills but also pragmatism, and able to get to the bottom of problems without over engineering solutions
- Great communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience using Sketch / Abstract / Invision for requirements handoff and asset management
- Experience with the Apple App Store / Google Play publication process
- Previously worked with or set up mobile continuous integration platforms
- Experience with SQL databases

Why would you want this job?

- You’ll be working with an experienced team both in Australia and offshore, who are available to help you build and execute.
- We encourage collaboration and hearing everyone’s opinion, so if you have a better way of doing something, we’re happy to listen and work out a better solution.
- The talent you’ll meet. Our team are some of the brightest minds in our industry and we take great pride in the amazing work we collectively deliver.
- The team we’re building. We have a great team that works hard and has a lot of fun along the way. We will continue to pack the team with passionate, exceptionally talented people that believe in our vision and embody our values.
- Our impact. We're disrupting business models that have not changed in decades. We're building something special, and will bring a huge disruption to the Australian marketplace.

Before applying:

- Daily Standups - We perform these 12pm daily Melbourne, Australian time (AEST) - unfortunately this is an integral part of our process so you must be able to attend these
- Previous Ionic projects - Please provide App Store / Google Play links of your best projects, with demo logins if required
