Business Development VA Responsibilities list:

Hello, I am looking for an aspiring professional that either has experience in business or supporting another business professional.

My name is Jean-Eric and I am a serial entrepreneur from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I have owned more than 10 companies in my life. Some of these companies I have started, others I have bought, and I have been successful in selling 4 of them over my career.

I am now focusing my efforts in helping other business owners do the same by providing Business Consulting services. I have just started my focus in this area in the Summer of 2019 and just launched my website last week.

I now have 4 regular clients and a couple part-time clients and I NEED HELP!

My goal is to build a strong system (similar to the systems I have built in my previous companies over the last 15 years) so that I can scale up my consulting practice to have 25-50 regular clients at one time.

BUT, I cannot do this without a strong support team around me.

I am looking to bring on my first person to help me with the business.
The ideal candidate will have the following traits:

Since this will be my first hire for this company, the systems and processes are still being established, so there will be a great opportunity for you to make your mark and help build and implement the systems we create together.

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

- Excellent English written and reading comprehension
- Excellent English oral comprehension (understanding English conversations)
- Good spoken English (7/10 or higher)
- Minimum 3 years experience in roles such as executive assistant, business owner, business development, business consultant, engineering, project management, or creative communications fields.
- OR minimum 5 years in BPO roles.

Working Conditions:

You could work from home or a business centre, but the internet must be fast enough to download and stream video calls with me between the hours of 8am - 5 pm CDT. Your work hours will not necessarily be only during my business hours, these could be flexible at the beginning, transitioning towards availability during my business Upgrade to see actual infopensation:
This role will begin with a base salary of $Upgrade to see actual infoUSD per month (depending on your skills, experience and abilities).

I will later implement bonuses, rewards, and commissions for achieving business targets.I am open to implementing a health insurance plan after 12 months of work together.

The business development role will entail responsibilities in 7 categories:

1. Supporting the maintenance of Existing Client Relationships
2. Prospecting
3. New Client On-Boarding
4. Daily Maintenance & Administrative tasks
5. Coordinating with other freelancers
6. Researching and implementing software services for internal use
7. Optional but A PREMIUM to have: Executive Business Administration Services

Maintaining Existing Client Relationships

1. Reviewing calls and summarizing key points, take-away’s from each call, actionable tasks and appropriately assigned to each member.
1. Set a reminder to send out the updated agenda 2 days before the next scheduled call.?
2. Send out the summaries and link to recording within 8 hours of the call
1. Properly store and share link to recording In client folder
2. Run Audio link through Otter.ai for transcription of the call, this way it is searchable to find key topics?
3. Set reminder and email Client halfway between call and next call to confirm next call time (link to calendly for rescheduling purposes) and checking in to see how they are making out with their goals and tasks. Offer a 15 min call if the client is snagged / hung up on a task
4. Find software for Net promoter score ratings on each call. Ability to be anonymous or with name.
5. Update client information in CRM as appropriate

Prospecting:

LinkedIn advertising / reaching out

1. Using Scripts on how to initiate a meeting, statements you make at the beginning of the meeting and at the end of the triage call
2. Making key connections, follow up, scheduling calls
3. Arranging a mail out of books to interested leads - introduced by strategic alliances
1. Irresistible offer: something like $20 deposit towards a book, includes shipping, and Jean-Eric will come to your office to pick it up and refund you the $20 if you want for the follow up meeting. Alternative would be the chapter from automatic customer / built to sell.
2. Schedule call with Jean-Eric and lead before in person meeting
4. Doing research on a prospective lead and putting together a report for Jean-Eric prior to the scheduled call.

On-Boarding:

1. Initial client intake form template
1. Template needs to be customized
2. Template needs to be sent out when a client agrees to an engagement, engagement package needs to be filled in appropriately.
3. Invoice, Client Agreement
2. First meetings expectations “road-map” to be shared with client, along with home work, videos and a strategic assessment form to be completed prior to first call (ideally 1-2 weeks before kick-off call).
3. Create Google Drive / Dropbox Root folders (based on templates)
4. Schedule kick-off meeting on Calendly

Daily Maintenance tasks:

1. Rescheduling clients as needed
2. Reaching and making connections
3. Keeping Calendly properly coordinated with JE’s schedule / available time
4. Keep Jean-Eric’s meetings tracked and invoice clients within 8 hours of the session. - payments to be reflected in Quickbooks and updated statement to be sent with most recent invoice

1. Organizing event setup, PowerPoint presentation with company logos in slide deck, managing registrations, post-event communication,

2. Coordinating with the audio & video editor for clips
3. Finding and prospecing associations and events for speaking engagements

1. Ability to take recorded discovery sessions with clients and develop them into visual process map boards, graphical displays - using open platforms like Upgrade to see actual info etc.
2. Ability to reformat and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) off of recorded sessions with clients
3. Watch training videos and create SOP’s and “cheat sheets” for on-boarding and implementing new system.
