Who Are We??At Movley, we are providing disruptive supply-chain services through a powerful tech platform, global infrastructure, and on-the-ground people expertise. We currently provide on-the-ground product inspections and factory audits for companies manufacturing in China in the general merchandise (Softline and hardlines) sector. We are working towards creating a global supply-chain ERP platform that lets companies build and manage their supply-chain via an API. We service the platform with our experts and services, including freight forwarding, small packet shipping, on-the-ground inspections, integrated 3PLs, and more.
Movley is bootstrapped by our founder and CEO, Sajag. He previously ran a VC-funded electronics firm, and lived in China for 6 months in 2017. He has been manufacturing for over 7 years. We are looking for a highly-committed individual for long-term commitment.
Timing & Work-Load:
You must be reasonably available and highly responsive as much as possible from 9-5PM PST time Mon-Fri. You may need to be occasionally availability on weekends to get through tasks and make schedule changes.
During the working week, you are not expected to be awake during USA time or be on the computer 24/7. You just need to be responsive and available within 1-2 hour notice (if possible). During the weekends, you need to be available on an ad hoc basis, to make small changes during normal waking hours.
This position will require around 10-20 hours per week, and could develop into full-time, as you take on more responsibilities.
Job Description:
• Maintain the CEO’s calendar and ensure that all activities are recorded and accounted for
• Make phone calls, appointments, and coordinate meetings with stakeholders as needed
• Put together complex excel spreadsheets, written reports, and presentations. This includes researching information as needed for meetings and appointments and presenting the material is a user-friendly manner
• Organize travel arrangements including booking flights and accommodation. This also includes anticipating any potential problems with arrangements and managing any related issues such as, delayed or missed flights
• Take dictation as needed
• Setup and maintain an organizational schematic for all work related tasks
• Be highly proactive, create systems and processes, and take on tasks to reduce the workload and support the CEO
• Ensure all assigned projects are delivered on-time and within budget
• Learn and interpret the CEO’s lifestyle, habits, and organizational behaviors over time to continuously improve the effectiveness of your support role
Qualifications:
• Excellent English communicator. You should be able to speak fluently and write English to a business standard
• Master’s in business administration required
• 5+ years of experience working as a personal assistant or similar role
• Demonstrated experience managing projects and juggling a large workload with conflicting priorities
• Extensive experience working in research-related projects to academic standards including consulting reports. In depth knowledge on MLA, APA, source citations, etc.

• You are extremely proactive. You are always looking to improve and make things easier for the CEO. You’re the type of person that people say are 3 steps ahead, not just 1. You follow-up and don’t wait to be told what to do
• You are highly organized using modern technology and your own systems or work methodologies. You are the type of person to have a to-do list for your to-do list
• You have outstanding communication and time management skills. You execute many tasks with no problem and juggle hundreds of small things at once. 600 to-do items can be thrown your way with various timelines and you can handle them all.
