Construction Estimator

Responsibilities encompass the development of projects typically valued in the 100K$ to 5M$ range. Estimator reports to VP of Operations (US) and his /her efforts provide dedicated estimating subject matter expertise and to develop cost estimates for projects.

Qualifications:
B.S degree in Engineering or construction management with 5-10 years of experience with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor
Non-degree holders who have 10+ years of directly related experience are encouraged to apply
Working knowledge of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical and/or electrical or a combined experience in any of the engineering disciplines
Demonstrated experience estimating self-performed work activities and subcontracted work
Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods
Strong analytical skills, detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to organize and manage detailed analysis
Proficient with spreadsheets, email and other software used in construction industry
Capable of using a variety of tools, blueprint interpretation, spreadsheets
Exposure in any estimating software knowledge is a plus
General Responsibilities:
Create detailed cost estimates that are organized and arranged to follow the pricing format required by the project
Perform drawing take-offs and estimating material quantities
Summarize the estimate into the accounting budget
