JOB OVERVIEW

Calling all crafters! Found First Marketing is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable freelance writer that’s also a crafting enthusiast for our fun, but busy, crafts blog.

What You Can Expect

We’re a small, rapidly growing company, so you can expect great communication and prompt payments (we take Paypal or Transferwise invoices bi weekly and pay the very day the invoice is submitted. We will also pay you per completed article to start until there is trust built up). We provide a mentor that knows the ins and outs of our process and content briefs.

Plus, you’ll always have a knowledgeable and friendly editor every step of the way. We give step by step instructions and helpful templates for all our content types; these guides will make your job easier and faster.

Topics can include sewing, wood burning, heat transfers, art/drawing/painting and other crafts. Articles can range from listicles, to DIY, to product reviews, and range anywhere from 1000 words to 5000 words per article, depending on the topic.

Writers can expect 2 articles per week to start and increase to 4+ per week once you’re comfortable with the content and the pace.

Examples of subjects you might write on:

31 DIY Thanksgiving Centerpieces
Best Wood Burning Tools
Sewing machine reviews
Cricut vs Silhouette

You can also expect to write for some of our other blogs and turn this into a full time opportunity.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a talented writer with a lot of passion for crafts, including but not limited to sewing, painting and drawing, woodwork, and everything in between.

You should be able to write in a tone that is light but informative, without fluff and a level of clarity that anyone reading a “how to” type article can follow.

You must be able to follow article templates and instructions, as well as be able to hit deadlines while allowing time for editing.

Good camera work and a workspace with lots of natural lighting is a plus.

How to apply

Fill out this form. We will get back to you within 2 weeks.
