Senior Web Developer

The Alternative Daily ( ---------- ) is an information publisher based in Florida, USA. This is a full-time contract position. Pay will be competitive with candidate’s experience.

Be prepared to provide samples of your work and/or demonstrate your expertise.

Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility is the creation and maintenance of secure internal information systems.
• In addition, work on a web-based customer portal, as well as online marketing and sales systems.

Skills/Qualifications:
• 5+ years web development experience
• Specialist in all things LAMP
• Solid database design expertise
• Excellence in HTML, JSON, CSS, Javascript
• Proficiency with responsive web design techniques and the use of frameworks, eg. Laravel
• Fluency in English
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality in a timely fashion

Availability:
• Significant overlap (min 4 hours) during US East Coast time 9AM - 5PM

Pluses:
• Experience working in a remote environment
• Experience working securely with external APIs
