1.0 MISSION
To develop and implement the plans and processes to maximize profitability of our new and existing products on Amazon. For new products, this begins with a carefully planned 1-month launch phase, followed by a transition into an ongoing monitoring and optimization phase. Existing products will be assessed similarly and marketing plans will be established to grow their profitability. The Product Growth Manager will use sales and performance data to identify trends and issues, define plans of action, and implement those plans to maximize long-term profits on Amazon.
2.0 REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position directly reports to the Growth & Optimization Leader.
3.0 SCOPE OF AUTHORITY
This position is responsible for all aspects of product growth and optimization and will be the direct manager of one or more Growth Specialists
4.0 OUTCOMES
1) Complete on boarding training (end of week 1)
2) Develop weekly product performance reports and document the process(es) required to complete them (end of month 1)
? Each week we need a technical presentation summarizing the performance of each of our products. You will need to analyze various performance metrics (sales, conversions, PPC etc..) to identify any potential opportunities or issues, then suggest the most efficient marketing strategies to boost profitability. The process for this does not yet exist. You will be responsible for creating it and then documenting it.
3) Develop and document the processes for in-depth listing reviews (end of month 1)
? Each of our listings should undergo periodic review to see if there are any opportunities for improvement. This begins with deep analysis of our listing, those of our competitors, performance data and Amazon-centered marketplace analysis. Based on this analysis, marketing plans should be proposed, and after approval, be implemented to increase profitability. The process for this does not yet exist. You will be responsible for creating it and then documenting it.
4) Implement the agreed upon number of successful marketing plans (end of month 3)
? Within the first few weeks we will agree upon the quantity of successful marketing plans that you will be expected to complete.
5) Increase Q4 profitability of existing products (overall) by 10% compared to same period last year
? Through your analysis, optimization and implementation of marketing plans, you should be able to increase profitability by 10% in Q4 compared to the same period last year.
6) Hire first Growth Specialist (end of month 3)
? Once you have built out all the core processes described above, you will need assistance in tracking, analyzing, optimizing, and performing marketing plans across all our products. As such, you will need to hire an assistant. You will work with our HR manager to hire your first assistant.
