Hey there. My name is Jimmy, and I operate a Real Estate Appraisal company here in the U.S. We are expanding our team, and are looking for talented individuals that also want to build long-term & stable relationships.
That’s right! We are looking for team members for the LONG TERM! I know that’s easy for me to say, and if you’re still reading this, I am certain you’ve heard it before. This not likely your first time seeking employment in the virtual/remote team arena and let's be honest, potential employers claim this all the time.
Here’s the thing, I’ve had the opportunity of working with several Filipino Virtual Assistants over the past few years, and while I’d like to say each was a Rockstar, the reality is I’ve seen my share of busters. I don’t mean this as an indictment against Filipinos; I’ve had the very similar experiences with the Americans, Indians, Croatians, Russians, and Columbians. You see the truth is, everyone excels when they’re doing something that suits them & they enjoy. They (and I include myself in the 'they') absolutely suck when they’re not.
So why I am saying all of this now, well it is simple; I’m tired of screwing around with duds.
If you DO want to work with a growing professional team, that supports each other, is paid well, and is serious about producing the highest caliber work product quickly…. and you are serious about working, then please read on.
If you are honestly unsure about your ability to work in this type of environment, too insecure (or self-absorbed) to ask for help when you're learning something new, or you're crippled by some other self-defeating mental thing...then please stop wasting your time reading this.
if you know for sure that you are more Rockstar than a dud, you are accountable, you always demand the best from yourself, and you’re willing to learn & immediately apply some new things then keep reading...
Right now, we have an opening for a Remote Team member. If we CHOOSE to work together, you will be initially responsible for researching residential properties, preparing and editing appraisal reports. As your experience, and expertise grows, so will your responsibilities and income.
We offer a generous compensation package starting at $300 - $450 USD per month. As I said before, we have worked with many other Filipino assistants in the past, or we can just as easily outsource this entire process to a "Report Preparation" company based in the Philippines or India and pay as little as $8 per report. So why offer such a higher rate of pay… well, as I said earlier, “I’m tired of screwing around with duds,” and I really like working with Entrepreneurs. I want to work with people who have taken a chance on themselves and decided that traveling up to 2-hours one-way in the middle of the night to work an 8-10 hour shift in the call center is just not the best option for their families or them. I'm not putting down those people that do choose to work in the call centers, we all have to eat, after all, I just prefer working with those willing to trust in themselves instead of a company. These are my people. My people know that we have to get a little better every day. My people know that we will and do make mistakes (every day,) and it's ok as long as we learn from them, and don't keep repeating them. My people know that we have to produce & create value every day. Most importantly, My people know the more value we create, the more income and opportunity we can then provide to our families. Our compensation is structured the way it is because I want to work with My people.
This position is not for everyone. To be successful in our company you have to: be very detail-oriented, learn fast, communicate, be reliable, communicate, work independently, speak, write & read English well, and most importantly Create Value! If you need a long "training period" before you'll be ready to produce for the company... This Is Not the Company or Opportunity for You. This doesn't mean you are not a great person, but it does mean you are not likely to be one of My people so you will not be working with
Your main responsibility will be to prepare and edit appraisal reports for me & the team. We inspect properties Monday through Friday, so once you are adequately trained on our systems and procedures, the prepared reports must be ready to use (on our end) by 7a EST. If we have 2 inspections scheduled on Wednesday, both of the appraisal reports must be ready for me download and use by 7a Wednesday morning... No Excuses. Since you are in the Philippines, this means your workday will likely end at 5p (assuming you process the reports quickly & efficiently... and that is what we expect.)
We use A La Mode Total appraisal software, and other standard online real estate & research tools; so we prefer you to come to us with this experience. That said, the right person (My people) can quickly learn the tools.
If you're interested, please send your resume & a cover letter. Do not re-state the information in your resume in the cover letter/email. I only want an answer to this question "Describe your best AND worst experiences as a Virtual Assistant, what you learned from BOTH experiences, and how you plan to apply what you learned when you work with us." No generic answers, please. If you want to be considered for the position then type “I’m your People” in the subject line.
Thank you for your time, and speak with you soon.
Jimmy
p.s. We've found our most successful team members are those that are action takers. They learn something, take action and apply what they've learned, get feedback, take action and apply what they've learned from the feedback, and repeat the process. So again, if this sounds like you, please contact us.
