JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary


The ServiceSource Business Applications team is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Salesforce Developer. The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the design, implementation, deployment and documentation, maintenance and improvement of business solutions to maximize organizational and business performance.


The Business Applications team manages all aspects of subscription-based cloud applications and custom internally developed solutions. Our responsibilities include end user support, requirements definition, development, testing, deployment, release management, system configuration, system administration, security design and execution, procurement, asset management, strategic cost management, vendor management, project management, data management, analytics, report and dashboard development, documentation, change management, compliance, and governance. Our customers include all ServiceSource employees and some external end users.


Primary Responsibilities


Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, internal stakeholder requirements and company goals
Design, code, test and implement new Salesforce software applications
Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instance, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements
Communicate with project managers, stakeholders and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and stakeholder objectives, and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
Interact directly with clients, managers and end users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications and interactions with internal Salesforce instances
Support Salesforce Admins of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects and workflow
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure Salesforce environment supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance


Job Skills & Qualifications


Required:



Undergraduate degree, equivalent degree or work with preferred concentration in Technology Services, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum work experience: Three to five years of experience in Salesforce platform development and administration
Proficient with Apex, VisualForce, Force.com IDE, Lightning, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, .Net
Salesforce Certification (Dev 401, Platform App Builder).
Experience developing customer-facing user interfaces.
Experience in salesforce support including incident management, user management, security management, Salesforce configurations, workflows, assignment rules etc.
Knowledge on external system Integrations (SOAP/REST)
Should have good analytical, leading and decision-making skills.
Should have good communication skills in both written and ---------- lf-motivated and creative


Preferred but not required:



Employee Community development experience strongly preferred
Case management development experience
Mobile development experience
Agile/SCRUM and related tools
