WEB Developer

We are a fast-growing company looking for a talented, self-motivated individual to join our dynamic web development team. We are seeking a skilled virtual long-term web developer, who is well versed with the use of website development tools to join the ---------- this position, you will be responsible for helping to build progressive and robust platforms for our partners’ projects. You should have an aptitude for thinking outside the box and enjoy critical thinking, organization, and experience delivering great results.

Required Skills:
Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, PHP, E-Commerce, MySQL, CPanel, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services, API's
Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications and Web maintenance
Basic knowledge in Joomla or other CMS
Must be able to write clean, reusable and extensible code and tests
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision, while working alongside a team to ensure all deadlines are met on time and to a high standard
Experience and working knowledge of JIRA is a plus
Ability to manage own work and it completed per requirements, on time and in a professional manner
Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to keep well documented, efficient codes to ensure a clear audit trail of communication with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and exercise excellent decision-making skills
Highly analytical, detail-oriented with advanced problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

Responsibilities:
Develop the web interface and client-side functionality using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3
Attend Skype meetings to discuss and develop platforms with our technical team
Develop server-side logic in PHP and MySQL, possibly using a CMS or Framework
Program in well-known CMS's (Joomla)
Development testing and bug fixing
Writing technical documentation (and specifications)
Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Requirements and Qualifications:
A Skype account
Home office or working space with minimal background disturbance
High-speed, stable internet connection (such as DSL)
Reliable laptop or desktop computer equipped with Microsoft Office or equivalent compatible Microsoft Office products, such as Open Office
High-quality, background noise minimizing headset and microphone
At least 3 years of education (BS/MS in Computer Science or any related field is preferred)
At least 2 years’ experience with Joomla/JIRA with an e-Commerce background
Strong SQL queries and HTML skills; familiarity with programming languages a plus
Decision-making and leadership skills both in our company goals and our partners desires
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Analytical, critical thinking, and self-sufficient problem-solving skills
