JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview

The Executive Assistant role is a full-time general administrative position to manage day-to-day tasks that do not require specialized experience but will work within many areas of the business. Responsibilities will include tasks in social media marketing, email management, monetization through sponsorships and affiliate marketing, and content production. You will work closely with the owner of the company (Joseph Hogue) to clear his schedule for productive work and grow the business.

The Executive Assistant must be responsible and driven to grow the company as if it were their own. You’ll be expected to do more than just ‘check off the tasks’ each week but to think actively about how you can improve how the tasks are done and what other tasks you can manage. The Assistant will be expected to offer their own solutions for problems and ideas to grow the business.

This is a position for growth with development and mentoring provided regularly. There will be opportunity for advancement, to move into other positions within the company if you choose.

My target audience is in the United States with peak hours between 9am to 10pm eastern standard time. The Executive Assistant schedule does not need to overlap this time completely but will need to work some hours overlapping, preferably in the morning.

Duties & Responsibilities

Email Management
• Move spam emails into a spam folder (daily)
• Send a template response to potential sponsored post emails (daily)
Email sponsors for post renewals (weekly)
• Social Media Marketing
? Post new articles and videos to social media accounts (daily)
? Maintain social media management tool filled with scheduled posts from own blogs and curated content (daily)
• Blog Posts and Videos
• Motivational quotes
• Questions
• Curated content
? Curate content from a list of approved blogs (daily)
? Sponsored Post Management
? Maintain spreadsheet of sponsored posts and contacts (weekly)
? Collect posts from potential sponsors and filter for basic criteria (weekly)
? Outreach Projects
• Research podcasts within personal finance, making money and investing (weekly)
• Send template email for podcast guesting opportunity (weekly)
• Content Management
o Collect and organize content from other bloggers for roundup posts, using templated emails (as needed)
o Manage interview posts using templated emails (as needed)
o Maintain spreadsheet of affiliate reviews and affiliate list articles (monthly)

I operate on a 12-week schedule with separate goals and projects every twelve weeks. At the end of each period, we will review the goals and success of the period and develop new goals and projects for the next period. It’s a fast-paced schedule but proven to drive fast results as well. You will also receive an annual evaluation where we will measure your progress over the year.

What We Do

Blogging since 2013 and a YouTube creator since 2017, I own four blogs and a YouTube channel reaching half a million people a month. The four blogs are all within the personal finance niche; debt, online loans, investing and making money online. As part of your cover letter, find the name of one of my blogs and the YouTube channel to include in your letter. The YouTube channel covers videos mostly in the investing and making money niche.

I am a Type A personality, always organized and planning for the future. I have an aggressive plan to grow the company to more blogs and hiring a full team in the future. I work on a 12-week schedule, creating new goals and projects to complete every three months that lead to accomplishing longer-term goals. For me, this isn’t a 9-to-5 job but a way to create something bigger than myself.

The business makes money on a variety of income sources including books, courses, sponsorships, affiliates and ads. I believe firmly in creating online assets and income sources and am always looking for new ways to monetize the business.

I believe in the entrepreneurial spirit, even if you’re not an entrepreneur or business owner. Happiness at work is a matter of finding what you enjoy doing and making it a part of your life. This is a long-term position with a serious role in our growth. You will be highly compensated for your work and are expected to earn that compensation every day.

• Paid every two weeks through PayPal ($700/Month)

Position Requirements

• Advanced and conversational proficiency in English, at a C2-level on the CEFR test or similar
• Minimum two years as a blog assistant or running your own blog
• Prior experience using a social media management tool like Buffer, Hootsuite, MeetEdgar or others
• Experience using Google sheets or Excel
