CAD Engineer

The CAD Engineers role will be to produce 2D MEP drawings up to construction level for a variety of projects from small surveys, feasibilities to large-scale housing, education and commercial projects and will be able to assist the project team in coordination of the MEP services.

The role is suited to a candidate who is ambitious, self-motivated and a team player. The ideal candidate will be someone who can produce drawings using Engineer’s red pen mark-ups or design and draw from an Engineer’s brief. The projects are based in London, UK and you would be expected to liaise on a daily basis with the London office to discuss the CAD requirements for that day.

To be successful we will expect the candidate to have the following as a minimum:

• Good written & verbal English language skills;

• Extensive experience using Revit MEP with proven experience, a minimum of 2 years is required;

• Good knowledge of building MEP services, preferably for UK based businesses;

• Experience of working in a small or medium sized consulting engineering practice (30 people or less);

• Adhere to the company drawing production standards and filing system;

• An understanding of Autocad 2019 software is essential;

• Competent setting up MEP drawings with appropriate sheets;

• Able to amend and produce Autocad symbols for the in house library;

• To assist in the production of 2D drawings and schematic drawings up to construction level;

• Strong design coordination skills in MEP services;

• Good time management, must be self-motivated;

• Experience and knowledge of current UK Building Regulations standards preferred;

• Strong interface skills.
