The Opportunity
We truly believe in the power of content marketing; because it’s served us very well up to now by helping us grow so fast. Becoming a Content Writer makes you a critical part of the business. You will learn skills that will last you a lifetime in the online business world.

You’ll be working closely with myself and a content manager, helping you get up to speed with our company.

We’ll teach you the ins and outs of the online affiliate industry, coming from years of experience. You’ll work on producing content that is written to the highest standard and conversion-ready!

This is a full-time position – our company is growing at a fast rate, which means excellent opportunities for personal and career growth.

Tasks Involved
• Writing detailed content covering various products
• Writing various ‘how to’ style guides
• Writing generic content that answers a myriad of questions

What Skills Do You Need?
We believe in hiring people that are a good fit for us culturally.

A good fit is actually more important to us than the skill set since we will teach you everything you need to know.

You need to have immaculate attention to detail. We need to hear you grunting and moaning if a word or grammatical structure doesn’t quite look or feel right, as you’ll be writing many pieces of content each month. Writing, editing and proofreading is a large part of this role for all content being produced.

Be a good ---------- sounds very cliche, but if you have questions or don’t understand why we are doing something, ask. We are all working towards the same goal, and when we all understand clearly what we are doing, everything runs a lot more smoothly.

Be a self-starter. We need to see some evidence that you’re able to get up every morning, bite the bullet and just get on with it, even if you’ve tried four coffee shops and none have decent WiFi. You won’t have eyes looking over your shoulder on a day to day basis, you’ll be working in almost full autonomy, we’ll need to trust you to deliver the ---------- a nutshell: you must be highly motivated, goal-driven and coachable.

The following skills/experience would be a bonus:

A deep understanding of crafting written, story-driven content marketing pieces
Strong emphasis on editing skills across various writing styles
Basic to intermediate SEO knowledge

What’s the catch in working for us?
This isn’t a gap year experience. This is not a temporary contract.

How Do I Apply?

Here is the sequence of events we use when hiring our Content Writers:

You record a YouTube video* explaining who you are, why you’re a good fit for the position and talk us through any experience relevant to the position.
Click apply for the job as usual, and as the opening line to your cover letter state “I have recorded a video for you”. This way we know to open the chat with yourself so you can send us the video to watch. If you don’t include this as the opening line, we won’t even read your cover letter. This is extremely important to applying to join our company.
We review submissions and ask any further questions via the chat
We then whittle down the interviewees and select 5 applicants for 2 days of paid ---------- om here we will select the best candidate to join our company.

*YouTube Video Requirements:

We will only accept submissions that include a YouTube URL. Please leave the video “unlisted” in preferences and share the link with us. The quality of the video doesn’t matter, and there are no bonus points for editing. We just want (up to) five minutes of you explaining (based on your previous experience) why this Content Writer position is an excellent fit for you and us.
