General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

Following the Corporate and the Terra Solution Business Unit set policies and guidelines and aligned with the Acting General Manager of the subsidiary:
• To prepare the economic models to tender in the quarries, mining and construction companies in the Philippines.
• To lead the negotiation teams in the discussions with the mines and quarry managers.
• To make technical visits to new mines in the Philippines to understand the customer needs and prepare adequate value propositions to allow the Subsidiary to initiate cooperation with such mines.
• To prepare with the help of the Acting General Manager and the Business Development of the subsidiary the detail marketing plan.
• Lead sales of the subsidiary. To support the company in the discussions with the quarry and construction potential customers. Leverage the relationship with CLIENT of some of the global customers.
• To provide strong links with Client’s functions to improve the logistic costs and lead times. To elaborate a sourcing plan for the subsidiary to allow the company to be competitive and develop the trading segment.
• To coordinate with client’s functions the application of OH&S, environment and quality corporate policies.
• To evaluate the existing organization of the subsidiary and recommend to the HR Regional function the necessary changes and recruitment to prepare the company for a sustainable growth.
• To define the technical service policies of the subsidiary including the elaboration of the training programs to ensure differentiation in the market.
• Supported by the Regional Financial Analyst, the Acting General Manager and the administrative staff to make the appropriate follow up of the financials of the subsidiary to ensure the monthly reporting, the cash control and propose the necessary actions to lead the company to the profit.
• In alignment with the Acting GM of the subsidiary to prepare the fiscal year budget and participate in the discussions and meetings with the Terra Solution functions when requested.
• Coordinate with the Regional Manufacturing Manager, the OH&S Regional Manager and the Acting GM the deployment of the initiatives for the proper management and compliance of the manufacturing site.
