Looking for Junior Scripting/ GDS Specialist

Award winning Cloud Technology Consulting firm in Sydney Australia is looking for a Junior Scripting Specialist to help assist in developing and implementing projects or tasks. We have been operating in Sydney, Australia for 7 years and have a strong industry presence and are looking to work with someone with a strong understanding of current trends around cloud computing and small business.

This role will be VARIED in tasks, spanning primarily technical execution and implementation of projects and tasks of our clients.

When presented with something new or a technology you don't know, you will need to have an attitude of 'I will find out'. You'll need to be resourceful in working support desks, online research and peers to help solve problems in your role.

Key Projects will Be:

- Managing multiple 'technical' elements and areas in our business covering web development, app connections and integrations, fixing 'sync' issues etc.
- Data manipulation and graph presentations using Google Sheets and Pivot Tables.
- Lightweight API-based app integrations (using 'connector' tools like Zapier/Workato/IFTTT)
- G suite Automation and Scripting

Success in this role will require working knowledge of the following technology (and the ability to quickly learn any tools you're not already familiar with):
- Cloud software integration (we use Zapier)
- Spreadsheets (we use Google Sheets/Google Apps)
- Google Apps Script
- Google Data Studio
- Postman

Prior experience required for this role (you will be asked to substantiate this):
- 1+ years in IT, technical support, programming, or web development role.
- Strong technical skills
- Strong ability to work autonomously and to be self-resourceful
- Strong experience in learning new tools and 'reading the manual' or 'googling the answer' to meet objectives
- Passion for technology

It will be extremely advantageous for you to have an interest and experience in:
- Working in the cloud (i.e. working in the browser) and how that is changing business
- Small businesses (i.e. up 1-30 employees)
- Google Technology (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive etc.)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Existing Github account

The current role will be full-time primarily during Australian business hours and we are looking to build a relationship with someone who can help our business succeed over the long term.
