POSITION SUMMARY

The JavaScript Engineer is responsible for implementing the front-end logic that defines the behavior of the visual elements of a web application. The JavaScript Engineer is also responsible for connecting this with the services that reside on the back-end.
The JavaScript Engineer combines the art of design with the art of programming.

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge with current trends and applying to the workplace

Role Desirable Attributes:

BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
2-4 years experience in JavaScript
Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Webpack
Proficient understanding of Git
Sound experience with JS ES6+
Experience with TypeScript beneficial (or willingness to learn)
Worked in cross-functional Agile development teams (Scrum / Kanban)
