Full Time Digital Designer

Alpha Lion is one of the fastest-growing fitness lifestyle brands that sells only the most epic sports nutrition supplements and apparel on the planet! We are looking for an energetic, proactive, and creative digital designer eager to join our fast-growing team and conquer the fitness world with awesome visuals!

You will be working alongside our Creative Director and will be responsible for creating and maintaining the “look and feel” of the Alpha Lion brand in every possible facet. This means that cohesive visual design and messaging are conveyed throughout all of our marketing materials, ranging from product label design to social media graphics to advertising creatives and everything in between.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that brings his/her rockstar design skills to the table and also revels in pushing the boundaries to deliver cutting edge and creative design to our customers that evoke strong emotion while maintaining consistent brand tone and voice.

You also understand that our common and primary goal is to make Alpha Lion the best it can be; our efforts are not done to boost our own egos. We want you to explore creative liberties while remembering that if we don’t like something, it’s not a personal attack.

This is a full-time remote position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

1. Translating ideas into effective design – including print, digital, web, identity, and more.
2. Interpreting designs we like and are inspired by and spinning them to have the look and feel of Alpha Lion.
3. Developing your own innovative design ideas for our products and apparel as you strengthen your understanding of the brand.
4. Brainstorming ways and proposals to improve Alpha Lion’s visual representation.
5. Working with the Creative Director to develop marketing strategies into compelling and appropriate (for us) visual campaigns.
6. Managing and producing all digital designs, materials for website, products, social media graphics, paid advertising banners, and email templates.
7. Working with our eCommerce team and internal and external developers to ensure website aesthetics are also aligned with customer user experience.
8. Ensuring visual consistency of the brand across all digital customer touch points.


Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of design experience, preferably at a digital agency or with a product-driven business in the fitness niche (you MUST have a portfolio to reflect this!)
2. Strong portfolio of design work displaying brand designs and consistency across all digital customer touch points
3. Comfortable taking a design from brief to concept to polished deliverable
4. Collaborative spirit that’s not afraid of healthy revisions in order to produce the best possible visuals
5. Excellent attention to detail to ensure that final designs and deliverables are flawless (Did you notice the typo in this bullet point? If so, you’re on the right path!)
6. Strong digital illustration skills with a ton of creativity
7. Ability to lead design projects and delivery solutions with minimal supervision
8. Experience in UI design
9. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite products, Photoshop and Illustrator in particular
10. Strong work ethic and willingness to work hard and when required, power through additional hours to meet deadlines.
