JOB OVERVIEW

In short we’re looking for passionate Linux systems administrators interested in working with cloud technologies and supporting internal and external clients. You’ll be working on new and existing products to keep our customers happy as well as internal tools to help our Operations team be as productive as possible.

Part of your role will be joining an existing overseas support team based in the Philippines, so you will need to be comfortable taking phone calls from clients and responding to e-mails - training will be provided. You will also need to be available to travel for training and up to three weeks per year to meet up with the rest of the team.

We’d expect you to be able to tick these boxes:

• You know Linux like the back of your hand.
• You have good general knowledge in server administration.
• You have an interest in hosting and infrastructure.
• Basic scripting knowledge.
• You are fun to be around and have a sense of humour.
• You have great communication skills, written and verbal.
• 2+ years proven experience in development.
• 1+ years experience providing customer support to end users in English.
• You have experience with MVC applications with PHP/MySQL.
• You have experience working with and consuming API’s.
• You strive to maintain our coding conventions to have clean and maintainable object-oriented code.
• You communicate well and can clearly articulate complex issues in English, both written and verbal.

Bonus points if you can tick some of these boxes:

- You have experience writing Javascript, CSS & HTML.
- You have experience with Linux servers and LAMP stacks.
- You understand how hosting works, including domains and DNS.

Hours per week: 40 - fulltime on regular 3-monthly 5-day a week roster
