Business Reporter

We are looking for driven, reliable and capable business reporters for our expanding business and technology beats.

Candidates should have solid writing and editing skills and be able to write clear and concise articles about the stock markets, economy, consumer issues, small business, and corporations.

Two part-time positions are available. Weekends, nights and some holidays required. Full time potential for exceptional reporters.

- You will gather information on newsworthy business and technology items and produce and present fair, accurate and unbiased copy.

- Create daily foreign and domestic stock market snapshots.

- Primary focus is U.S. business however, there should be some general familiarity with global business news.

- Create, report and help produce news stories and features, based on either breaking news or on pre-planned stories that were promoted ahead of time.

- Establishing sources, finding and executing enterprise news stories, building and maintaining strong list of story ideas on a year-round basis, both long-term deeper digging stories and quicker turns.

- Stay informed on newsworthy events locally and nationally.

- Work cooperatively as a valued team member under tight daily deadlines.
