JOB PURPOSE

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for remotely maintaining the systems that allow organizations to function and communicate, both internally and externally, on a daily basis. Responsibilities may include upgrading the company’s communications infrastructure or installing a new system.

Skills requirements:

Analytical and Solution-driven
Ability to multi-task
Organized
Ability to explain technical problems in simple terms
Customer oriented
In-depth knowledge of the different network types
Excellent Communication skills (You will be taking calls from our clients)

Job Accountabilities

Installing new software
Installing new hardware (servers, printers, computer work stations, etc)
Setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
Overseeing security of all systems, especially the internet
Installing anti-virus protection
Fixing network faults
Technical support for people using the network
Training staff on new systems
Day to day admin and monitoring of network use
Planning future improvements
Suggesting IT solutions to business problems
Making sure all IT meets industry standards
Assisting customer service staff
Installing and configuring computer systems
Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
Logging customer/employee queries

**Successful applicant will also need to assist in monitoring and dispatching service tickets to the appropriate resource, help create reports relating to calls statistics and may be asked to assist to be on standby for Afterhours call taking (if the need arise).
