Technology and Entertainment News Writer

We are looking for a Full-Time TECHNOLOGY and ENTERTAINMENT NEWS WRITER. The role involves primarily writing technology and gadget-focused news stories, as well as some geeky pop culture and entertainment stories.

You must include RELEVANT WRITING SAMPLES with your cover letter, and tell us why you’re a good fit for this role. Any CV submissions that do not include writing samples will be ignored.

This writer role will report directly to the Editor-in-Chief who is based in the U.S. This is a remote job but you can work regular Philippine business hours.

This is a full-time contract-based position with paid time off and a bonus structure.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Writing daily news articles M-F (Approximately  ----------  words each)
- Formatting stories on the backend to include appropriate images, links, and layout
- Monitoring trending news stories
- Writing lists and gift guides as needed

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- MUST BE Fluent in English writing with the ability to proofread your own work
- Experience writing for a blog or news publication
- Basic knowledge of Wordpress
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines
- Preferred: Passion for technology and geeky lifestyle topics
- Preferred: Experience writing in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Basic knowledge in Adobe Photoshop or equivalent
