IT Assistant

Job Description:

We are searching for a talented Virtual Assistant (VA) that can help us maintain our companies numerous websites. The right candidate should be tech savvy and have knowledge & experience on daily maintenance and troubleshooting of websites. The VA we need should be capable of communicating with internal requests speedily.
Your daily tasks will involve but are not limited to monitoring and correcting any website errors, transferring domains between hosting services, updating DNS, securing hosting accounts and websites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain website uptime
• Ensure websites are updated in a timely manner which include Wordpress core files, Wordpress themes, Wordpress plug-ins etc.
• Fixing bugs that are experienced with our websites
• Assist other departments by providing solutions for any website errors they may encounter
• Ensure Website security protocols are in place
• Update SSL certificates in our sites
• Provide/maintain backups and the know how to restore them
• Ensure hosting accounts are secure
• Transfer websites across multiple hosting services when required
• Transferring of websites to other hosting providers which may include cases where the existing host is already full and cannot provide us with the required increase in space
• Update DNS records

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience in using Wordpress
• Expert knowledge in updating Wordpress plug-ins and themes without errors
• Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML and CSS
• Basic knowledge of Hosting and Domains
• Work well in a team environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Reliable Computer/Laptop and internet connection in primary place of work and a backup internet connection (e.g. Mobile Data)

The right candidate can expect to a remuneration package up to $620 a month as a full-time contractor to Rank Club LLC.
