JOB OVERVIEW

Hello,
My name is Lise and I own a small plant product brand in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
We design and produce small objects to help you grow and enjoy your house plants.

We’re looking for a Wordpress wizard to help us solve ongoing issues with plugins conflicts, handle ongoing maintenance, and handle a complete redesign of the layout for our upcoming rebranding.
This is our current website right now : ----------

I built our website on Wordpress, and I use it to handle all our incoming orders, for both B2B (for resellers) and B2C (direct to consumer) via woocommerce.
The website is also multi-lingual with the use of the WPML plugin, with 3 languages now, hoping to add a fourth later this year.

Our product inventory is modest but growing, about 30 SKUs at the moment.

I’m using a lot of separate plugins at the moment to solve tiny issues each, but that gives me a lot of compatibility issues. Hopefully you can solve this more elegantly with custom code or other fixes.

Most urgent improvements:
1. Revamp the look (based on a new theme I purchased, following an existing design as a guide)
2. Improve performance/loading speed (identify issues, propose and implement possible fixes)
3. Switch the entire website over to our new name (so editing the copywriting to replace the old name with the new, across the whole website, switch a few pictures out)
4. Solve our ongoing plugin conflict issues by testing the various combination, and where necessary, changing to a different plugin. Custom code is also a welcome option
5. Customise specific features based on our needs, either in looks or in function.
6. Put in place an improved marketing strategy (newsletter integration with mailchimp, email popup, improve SEO, etc…)

I estimate this requires about 1-2 months of full time work upfront to rehaul the current situation on a staging website, and then we can decide on a realistic amount of hours for ongoing maintenance of the live site per week/month after ---------- general we are flexible on the exact working hours and amount of hours per week, you can set your own schedule. Our timezone is Amsterdam, but it is not crucial that you work during our business hours, as long as communication remains efficient.

We're looking for an experienced person, with a problem-solving attitude. Someone who can self direct the project and work independently; and has a pro-active outlook on the tasks at hand. We would like to find someone who would like to overhaul the website, then later stay involved longterm on a freelance basis, for maintenance and small upgrades in the years to come.
