We are an online optical store with big goals and a big heart!
Our store is hosted on shopify, and we offer free worldwide shipping.
We are seeking a very experienced Online Marketing expert who wants to grow with the company. Prefer employees in the Dumaguete area, although other locations will also be considered if candidates have all the right skills & experience.
40 hours per week, 8.30 am - 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday
Candidates must be proficient in the following:
• Adobe Photoshop for creation of various design files, including the ability to deep etch photographs (remove backgrounds). Level of proficiency needs to be to a very high standard.
• Adobe InDesign.
• General graphic design skills – able to create social media posts using a variety of graphic design programs.
• Create and send weekly EDM campaign.
• Advanced social media skills across the following channels – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram, Flikr.
• Proficient in written and spoken English – able to write social media posts and blog articles for the western market.
• Ability to design and run social media competitions using apps such as shortstack, woobox, etc.
• Skype.
• Google Drive.
• Microsoft Office.
• MailChimp.
• Experience using Hootsuite or Buffer.
Work environment:
• The Marketing Specialist will work from their home, and must have a reliable computer that will support all of the required applications for the role.
• A reliable internet connection to ensure easy communication via Skype, and transfer of files is also necessary, as is a secure and safe work area.
• This is a full time job. Candidates must be prepared to commit to this role as their primary source of employment. If you are freelancing for other companies and want to continue to do other freelance work, please don’t apply for this role.
Regular tasks include:
• Create social media graphics in a style that is consistent with the brand and target demographic.
• Write social media posts.
• Write blog posts.
• Facebook – create daily posts, respond to posts for others, find new Facebook pages to like/follow, and comment as appropriate on posts of others with a view to creating engagement for our Facebook page. View our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/specsonline
• Instagram – upload photos, find appropriate Instagram accounts to follow, creating followers for our Instagram account.
• Twitter - write our tweets (several per day), find followers, respond to tweets by others.
• Tumblr – create our posts, post, etc.
• Pinterest – upload our daily images… find ways to connect with our Pinterest followers, upload all our model photos to Pinterest, etc.
• Website – Upload model photographs to our gallery page.
Other marketing and administrative tasks that will be required from time to time:
• Research competitors and compile reports on competitor best practice.
• Create graphics for use on the company website.
• Create cover images/graphics for all social media channels to ensure brand consistency and fresh content.
• Create EDM campaigns.
• Create banner advertisements and gif files for online advertising.
• Administer competitions via Social Media channels.
Communication
• Weekly meeting with your manager via Skype. Daily email updates on work progress.
• Time tracking software such as Time Doctor will be used to record work completed and hours of work.
• Payment made fortnightly to your Paypal account.
• The Company is seeking a motivated person who has a mature approach to their work. We want you to love what you do, and to be confident in recommending improvements to the way that we do things. You need to have lots of initiative, and a good personality!

• We will pay you fortnightly for hours worked via Paypal. We expect you to work 40 hours per week unless you are sick or taking pre-arranged leave. We do not pay for hours not worked.
• We expect your work to be original and never copied from others. We abide by copyright laws and expect you to do the same.
• If we ask you to do some work that you are not sure about, or you feel that you don’t have the skills, we want you to tell us straight away. We will then be able to provide you with some assistance or support so that everyone gets what they need without any stress.
• We understand that national holidays are important, and we don’t expect you to work on designated Philippines public holidays. We will get you to provide us with a list of dates ahead of time so that we can plan for these.
• Even though you are working remotely from our office, we want you to be a part of the team, and we will communicate with you regularly.
• You will be required to provide proof of identity and references prior to us commencing the employment arrangement.
