Advantage Drafting is a drafting service provider to commercial glass/glazing contractors in the United States. We specialize shop drawings for curtain wall, storefront & entrances, and interior glass partitions. We cater to the small to medium sized glass contractor that needs shop drawings without engineering calculations. We only provide shop drawings for our clients – mainly for submittal purposes. We do not get involved with any fabrication or installation. Our team is entirely virtual. We hire the best façade draftsmen in the world to work on our team. We use AutoCAD for all of our drawings and Wrike as our project management platform. We pride ourselves in our quality and reliability.

Job Description:
As a Draftsman at Advantage Drafting, you will be responsible for drafting shop drawings in accordance with architectural drawings, while incorporating our client’s products, preferences, and instruction. If you are hired, you will be provided with all the necessary info to do the job and a project manager will be available to you for any questions. You will work directly under a project manager and report to this individual. You may perform your work anywhere in the world provided you are available via Skype on mobile and desktop (and can respond within a reasonable timeframe). You may also work during the hours of your choosing so long as quality work is completed on time.
This is a remote position. You may work from home or anywhere else where you have a reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities:
• Produce high-quality glass/glazing shop drawings according to architectural drawings, our drafting standards, and client requirements
• Turn in high-quality and on-time work
• Work with the Project Manager to make sure all aspects of the job are completed correctly

Requirements:
• Good verbal and written English communication ability
• Work completed according to Advantage Drafting’s drafting conventions, using our style and title block
• High level of personal organization
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 15Mbps up and down
• Have a smartphone with mobile data and Skype access

Experience:
• 3 years of experience working in the glass/glazing/façade industry
• 3 years of experience working with architectural drawings
• 2 years of experience working in CAD

Compensation:
Pay is based on production. Starting pay is $15 USD per page and increases up to $25 USD per page once proficiency is established.
