Eggs & Bacon Digital is a startup general store from Vancouver, Canada that sells many different products on Amazon USA. We ambitiously want to launch in-demand products on Amazon as fast as possible.

YOUR ROLE ON THE TEAM

Eggs & Bacon Digital is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer from the Philippines who’s willing to travel often to China to source and communicate with many different suppliers in-person so you can help bring a wide range of new products to the Amazon US market as fast as possible using your knowledge of manufacturing engineering.

You’ll be traveling across primarily Guangdong and Zhejiang, and occasionally Fujian, Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, and other east coast provinces to visit manufacturers for the purpose of being able to place purchase orders as fast as possible (by knowing what specifications and components to test in samples and finding out the right specifications for each product). We would be covering flight expenses and hotel expenses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
— Quickly find out the specifications of each product that can be modified to cater to our needs by asking the right questions using your knowledge of manufacturing engineering (including your knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes)
— Make recommendations for the specifications of each product based on our budget for that product
— Test product samples quickly and adequately by knowing what components and specifications of each product to test through your knowledge of manufacturing engineering (including your knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes)
— Keep costs down while maintaining a high-quality product by knowing what about the manufacturing process and materials for each product could be changed
— Minimize lengthy back-and-forth communication between Eggs & Bacon Digital and manufacturers by asking the right questions to find out each product’s specifications and being able to communicate and test samples with manufacturers in-person at their factories
— Visit manufacturers in-person throughout the east coast of China (primarily Guangdong and Zhejiang, and occasionally other east coast provinces) on short notice - your flight expenses and hotel expenses are covered
— Communicate the quality of samples and specifications of each product to us in English
— Find suppliers through sourcing websites such as Alibaba and 1688 (training will be provided)
— Handle outreach for suppliers to establish a manufacturing relationship (training will be provided)
— Negotiate pricing with suppliers, both in-person, over the phone, and through chat platforms like WeChat

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors in Manufacturing Engineering or similar degree
- Fluent knowledge of English and Mandarin

PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Knowledge of Chinese Business Culture and Etiquette
- Strong writing and verbal skills
- Outstanding communication skills
