[Remote] Contract Graphic / UI Web Designer -- Great team, pay, and company!

SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a remote graphic designer who can join our team for some freelance projects. If you’re looking for a great position with good pay, a good manager, and a fun team, this is the place to do it.

4Degrees is a rapidly growing software company that helps teams track their professional relationships and customer pipelines. We're a Techstars startup that's raised around $1M to date in venture funding - and uses cutting edge technologies like AI to bring our customer’s needs to life.

JOB OVERVIEW:

You will be creating not only beautiful illustrations and visuals for our online advertisements, but you’ll also help us put together strong presentations and graphics for our customers and potential investors. Over time, you’ll get an opportunity to help craft the visuals we’ll use for our online public presence - so that every person who visits the 4Degrees website will see your work.

It’s this type of design thinking that we want you to have as well. Your initial goal when you join is to redesign our team’s graphic presentations + illustrations for our website - giving them a premium, polished, and professional feel.

You’ll collaborate heavily, directly with the CEO, to work through ideas and different visual treatments, until we ultimately get to an end result that we’ll put out for the world to ---------- om us, we’ll give you guidelines for what we want, and we’ll go from smaller, more tactical projects to ones where you’ll have a large amount of creative control and freedom. You’ll go from brainstorming dozens of ideas, to working with us to narrow down which ones have potential, then wireframing them, and finally sketching them out into fully fleshed out pages, before revising them over and over until they just work.

We move quickly, so we’ll go from design to implementation very quickly. We’re a fun team, and you’ll be working with us through Slack. The work is remote, so you can do it at home.

Your hours will be flexible - you choose your schedule. We do NOT require you to work the graveyard shift and stay on Chicago time. You can work on your own time.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Expert level proficiency with programs equivalent to: Adobe PS, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, etc.
- 2+ years of experience with UI/graphic design and/or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Experience with both web and mobile design are preferred.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to craft delightful illustrations and UI
- Someone good-hearted, kind, motivated, and smart, who we will enjoy working with
- Has a strong opinion on what good design looks like.
- Easy to work with, and easygoing, but also with a passion for doing design work.

HOW TO APPLY
