Mirch Media is looking for an experience Content Writer who can generate/ write unique and compelling website content across a broad spectrum of topics including articles, product description, online advertisements, promotional copy, e-newsletters, blogs among others. Requires strong writing and editing skills.


Job Description

• Writes original content online, maintains company web pages and blogs
• Writes marketing materials and concepts for effective banners, ads and landing pages
• Creates content on topics related to company for various social media channels and monitor these channels as needed
• Assures web content is user-friendly and key-worded for SEO benefit
• Knows the importance and is able to implement meta keywords/description tags in the copy
• Coordinate content creation & publishing of company’s newsletters
• Updated with current events, market and global news and can provide compilation of reports for publication
• Helps plan and implement social marketing campaigns for effective marketing strategies
• Moderates content as it is contributed to the website by external sources
• Keeps up-to-date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Excellent copywriting skills, and strong editing and proofreading skills
• Experience in writing for the web as well as proficiency in internet research
• Experience with social networks and implementation of social media marketing
• Excellent verbal and oral communication
• Solid technical understanding, detail orientated, positive attitude
• Must be self-motivated, and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
• A sound understanding of marketing
• Creativity, passion for work, good at multitasking and problem solving
• Must work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Samples of previous content writing work would be useful to present upon request
• An understanding of technical analysis is a benefit
