Experienced Purchasing Assistant Needed

Hi,
We are looking to hire a experienced Purchasing Assitant for our UK based business. We sell health foods to businesses in the UK and Europe. We are looking for someone to work part time (15hour/week) initially but the job could easily become full time.

As a purchasing assistant for our business you will need to assist the purchasing manager to :

research the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers;
build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers;
put together quotes based on current prices for the sales department
be available during the UK working day (9am-1pm UK time)

You will need to have:

excellent oral and written communication skills;
strong analytical skills;
commercial awareness;
the ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships;
an excellent standard of numeracy in order to analyse facts and figures;
a flair for negotiation and networking;
the ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines;
a confident and mature approach;
tact and diplomacy.
