Not only do we help clients develop their websites, but we become their partner in training their team, managing their website, and coordinating on web marketing campaigns throughout our entire relationship. We do this by combining top notch strategic planning with a highly functional WordPress website that fits each client’s needs. We work very hard to make the process entirely hassle-free for clients (as marketing and technology can be frustrating enough). Our clients tell us that they stay with us because when they work with us they feel like everything “just works.” Our practice is heavily focused on “inbound marketing,” favoring blogging, content marketing, social media, and other similar creative marketing strategies. This helps us focus on bringing out the core value of each individual client in their marketing.

We are seeking to add a WordPress developer to our small team of marketing professionals. The developer we are seeking will be a core member of our development team, and will be handling a majority of the development work coming through the company as we grow. This developer will be taking a lead role in developing WordPress sites for clients, troubleshooting technical issues with client sites, making updates to websites for clients, and assisting with internal web design tasks related to promoting Tech Nick. Because most of the work will be directly billed to clients, we are seeking a truly World-Class WordPress developer who has a proven history of creating happy clients through WordPress Development and Support. We’re not looking for someone who considers themselves to be a “WordPress VA,” we’re truly looking for an amazing individual who can create fantastic WordPress sites at an agency level.

The ideal candidate will be able to:
• Work with WordPress at a very high level, including creating websites both from purchased themes and creation of custom WordPress themes.
• Familiarity with major design trends, such as responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, etc.
• The ability to troubleshoot tricky bugs in WP sites, such as plugin / theme conflicts, PHP errors, etc.
• Perform basic image manipulation. The candidate should also have a good “general eye” for design, and the ability to make web pages look good in general without the help of a graphic designer.
• Have “out of this world” customer service skills and English proficiency. This is essential for verifying with clients that their issues have been resolved.
• Be proactive and always try to deliver the “whole product.” For example, clients will often report one issue while missing another related issue they didn’t know existed. The ideal candidate should be proactive to fix reasonable things that are related to the issue requested.
• Implement a previously created strategic plan successfully. We have a great strategic planning team at Tech Nick, so the candidate won’t need to develop the strategy on their own, but they will need to be able to embrace the strategy direction chosen by other team members.
• We focus on clearly communicating the client’s core value. Special attention should be given to message communication with websites.
• Familiarity with implementing integrations with common marketing items, such as email newsletters, blog subscriptions, social media, etc.
• Think highly creatively and be able to create websites somewhat independently after being given simple client specifications and strategic needs with the team.
• BigCommerce development skills are helpful, but not required.

The types of work that will be performed are as follows:
Development of Web Design Projects:
At any given time, TNC has 3-7 open web design projects. One of the main goals of the developer will be to work with the TNC team and client to complete websites on budget and on time while creating a truly amazing deliverable product that exceeds client expectations. The candidate will not be the only WordPress developer on staff, but will be handling the majority of the work.

Assistance with Client Requests:
After the website is delivered, we offer ongoing assistance with WordPress websites to clients. This type of work is often simple updates but can range to major revamps to the website. The candidate should be able to complete every part of the update with as little direction as possible, including checking for satisfactory completion with the client and recording billable hours in our project system.

Salary:
35,000 - 42,000 PHP / Mo DOQ
Salary is paid semi-monthly via PayPal (Tech Nick covers PayPal fees).
Possibility for negotiation for performance.
