Heavy Duty Mechanic - (Automobiles, Heavy-duty/Earth moving Machines.) Site

• Inspecting mining fleet (bulldozers, cranes, graders, excavators, drill rigs and other heavy construction equipment) for proper performance, detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
• Handle repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of miscellaneous heavy equipment on site.
• Handle effective overhauling of engine, transmission, hydraulic system and undercarriage.
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specification
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Complete all paperwork required – open work orders, find parts and complete parts list
• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions, process and behaviours
• Other duties as needed
