Loan Underwriter

1. Review and verify the loan application and borrower’s documentation.
2. Perform detailed credit analysis and conduct risk assessments to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
3. Examining loan applications, employment information, payment history and verifying income sources prior to granting or denying of loans.
4. Evaluating the financial status of applicants by producing financial ratios through computer programs.
5. Ensure that approval falls within the established lending guidelines.
6. Manage all underwriting queries from all processors and loan officers and perform final checks prior approval.
7. Evaluate all loan applications and perform credit review on a regular basis.
8. Review the signed agreements for completeness and accuracy of the loan contract.
9. Maintain a positive working relationship with internal departments and external contacts.
10. Assist General Manager on credit items, non-credit related items/special assignments, as the need arises.

Qualification
1.Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or any related field.
2. Basic knowledge of underwriting terminology.
3. Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
4. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong attention to detail, particularly with regard to the ability to accurately handle data.
6. Ability to be an independent self-starter in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
7. Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
8. Willing to work on weekend, 2 rest days will be given on weekday.
