JOB OVERVIEW

THIS IS AN ONGOING JOB - LONG TERM FREELANCERS NEED ONLY APPLY

I'm looking for a team member to join on a full-time basis (38-40hrs per week) to assist with the day to day management of the publication including social media management, emails reply's, competitions, Website Management, and General Admin.

Duties included but are not limited to:
- Social Media Management including video editing
- Website Management (new posts with magazine content)
- Competitions Coordinator
- Advertisers Coordinator
- Emails Coordinator
OTHER DUTIES INCLUDE
- Co-ordinate Emails to the database using MailChimp
- Research articles topics and prepares articles on parenting topics
- Populate article topics for the editorial calendar
- Source imagery for image library

SOCIAL MEDIA IS A BIG PART OF THE JOB!!
We are a parenting lifestyle magazine and would like to be presented to our audience as such. My Expectations from the social media manager are as follows:
- Build a strategy that will increase our audience engagement and page followers
- Ability to produce on-trend, original and relevant content
- Post relevant/trending parenting news (e.g.: celeb/royal birth announcements and events)
- Post relevant/trending parenting funny videos (including making our own from still images, music and copy)
- Post branded quotes & meme (check out: scary mommy, babyhlogy, mum’s grapevine) you will need to create this content
- Use Insta stories 2-3 times a week including:
- On-trend, original and relevant content - Parenting orientated
- Funny quotes/memes
- announcing our latest publication when released (monthly)
- our latest articles (3 articles for each story and done weekly each month) with swipe up to read the articles in the story etc
- advertisers Insta stories with music and copy (in most cases advertiser will provide this to us however we may be required to create this content)
- Review and update hashtags regularly
- Create engaging copy with emoji’s
- Schedule Magazine articles/features with engaging copy to get the audience to read the article (around 12 to 16 articles per month with repeats)
- Schedule advertisers social content (advertiser will provide image and copy, you will need to make sure its engaging and tweak if needed with client approvals)
- Monthly reporting on stats (followers, likes, unlikes, engagement etc)
- Propose updates to the strategy to ensure that we are relevant

At the moment we are posting 1 post per day on Insta from Monday to Friday. I would like to increase this to 7 days a week. All hashtags will need to be entered as comments after the post has gone live.

As for Facebook, we are doing 7 posts per day and the result are terrible. I am happy to change the strategy and once you have reviewed the feed. You will propose a new strategy for this platform which includes magazine article posts.
