A California-USA based e-commerce and travel blog is searching for a LONG TERM/PERMANENT marketing manager to execute all aspects of our marketing strategy. This candidate will primarily focus on building our brand through various outlets including a blog, social media and other advertising outlets.
Although we will give our input, the ideal candidate should come with experience and be able to begin working on brand building right away with minimal to no guidance. The concept of building a brand is relatively simplistic, but the execution is tedious and complex. The right candidate must already fully understand this and be able to explain it.
Qualified candidates MUST possess the following skills:
• Advanced/Mastery of the English language (especially written) – You will regularly write blog posts and post on social media, so you must possess excellent creative writing skills. You must have strong grammatical fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of social media marketing – This should include Pinterest, Instagram,
• Existing marketing experience – If you have no experience in marketing, you should not apply for this job. You will be asked in detail about brand building strategies during the interview and if you don’t have answers, this will disqualify you.
Other skills that we think are very helpful, but NOT required, are:
• Shopify/Amazon experience
• Graphics design or video production experience
• Photography experience
• Good penmanship/calligraphy
• An interest in home décor, travel and DIY
• WordPress experience
Interested candidates should respond indicating why they are qualified, which would include any relevant information supporting their experience. Some examples could be blogs or articles you’ve written, brands you’ve worked with or managed (links are helpful), photos you’ve taken, relevant accomplishments, etc. Feel free to get creative with your response, just as you would in
We provide paid time off, including vacation and major holidays, and we also pay the 13th month. We are also very flexible on scheduling. You will be paid a weekly salary to start and eventually you will move to bi-weekly. Your salary will depend entirely on experience.
