Finance Officer

Contract Details:

•Full-time position, 40 hours per week on PST hours (9am-5pm PST)

•Remote work, from the Philippines

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for higher-level finance responsibilities that a bookkeeper will not have the skills or expertise of doing.

• Responsible for all financial functions including accounting, payments and banking, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.

• Provide timely reports, insights, advise, and assistance to the CEO, Board of Directors, Stakeholders, Owners, and the entire team to ensure that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively.

• Oversee and manage daily company-wide accounting and finance functions including timely recording of transactions, cash management, banking, payroll, inventory, receivables, and payables.

• Plan and implement systems for financial operations in the main office and in other areas of operation/distribution

• Plan, implement, review and improve systems for cash flow management, budgeting, consolidation of accounting information, internal controls, financial reporting, financial record-keeping, grant management and compliance.

• Train and supervise finance staff.

• Maintain banking relations and plan and monitor cash flow requirements.

• Prepare monthly standard accounting submissions to the CEO or other designated representative including general ledger files, account reconciliations, expenditures by cost center/campaign, as well as other financial information in a timely and accurate manner.

• Prepare financial reports and provide operational advise and recommendations to the CEO based on these reports.

• Develop annual fiscal year budgets.

• Continuously stay abreast with industry-related finance policies, procedures, rules and regulations, best practices;

• Compile and update applicable local policies; train staff in these policies.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time.


Qualifications:

• With Quickbooks Online experience

• Can handle everything a US-based accountant can handle including projections and taxation.

• Preferably have experience in handling e-commerce businesses

• Passionate on going over & beyond and being an important role of the company
