We at Boost Media Group are in need of a Graphic/Video Designer who will be responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact in support of our projects. Someone who is also talented at both Video Editing and After Effects to create and assemble content into a finished project that is suitable for online distribution. The designer will develop creative ideas and concepts, choose the appropriate media and style to meet the communications objectives to see each project to the end. He/she should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to engage our users through fresh and exciting content. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software, marketing trends, and a professional approach to managing deadlines.
-Meet with clients or the art director to determine the scope of a project
-Advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience
-Determine the message the design should portray
-Create images/videos that identify a product or convey a message
-Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites
-Select colors, images, text style, and layout
-Present the design to clients or the art director
-Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
-Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them
-Receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay;
-Assembling all raw footage, with camera shots either recorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer;
-Inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronizing and storing them into files on the computer;
-Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable;
-Creating a 'rough cut' (or assembly edit) of the program/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages;
-Reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
Qualifications:
-Able to create designs that are artistically interesting and appealing to clients and consumers.
-Creativity and a passionate interest in film and video editing;
-Look at their work from the point of view of their consumers and examine how the designs they develop will be perceived by the consumer to ensure they convey the client’s desired message.
-Use specialized graphics work design software to prepare their designs.
-Work on multiple projects at the same time, each with a different deadline.
-Must be able to think of new approaches to communicating ideas to consumers.
