We’re looking for a part time freelancer to prepare and file US sales tax returns.

Job description:
Responsible to prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax returns online for around 22-25 US states before the 15th of the month.
Handle reporting and analysis of sales tax report.
Outline any discrepancies and make adjustment to returns if ---------- municate and address taxing issues
Contact US states when needed

Requirement and qualifications:
Available to work 3-5 days / month (24-40h / month) during the the first 2 weeks of the month. *Returns must be ready to submit by the 15th of each month.
Minimum experience of 1 year in bookkeeping and accounting
Good knowledge of MS Excel
Solide aptitude with numbers
Fast and reliable internet connection
Good communication skills.
English speaking and writing.
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Detailed oriented
Strong autonomy
Respect of confidentiality

Plus:
Knowledge of US sales tax
Experience with Shopify, Taxjar and/or Avalara
