Job Description
The function of an air conditioning technician is to work closely with the maintenance and housekeeping department. The air conditioning technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing certain equipment and facilities, including air conditioning systems and units, water-cooling systems, and refrigerators within client’s own facilities, including those that operate all day long.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all air condition units are well functioning and properly installed
- Carries general repairs and maintenance of machineries and cooling-equipment
- Carries all inventories and reports of the Company properties
-Administer routine checks and logs of the status of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment
- Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost
-Make plans and recommendations minimize expenses without compromising the function of the units
-Order for replacement of equipment parts as required, perform repairs as ordered, and keep record of servicing on equipment.

- Carry out minor electrical maintenance work, such as repair or replacement of fixtures, including wall switches and outlets, ballast, incandescent and fluorescent tubes and bulbs, fuses and sockets by applying the right tools

-Carry out minor maintenance work, including change or repair of leaks in faucets and drains

-Carry out restructuring, installation, positioning for spaces and work surfaces, wall panels, lighting, file cabinets, storage bins, etc. to maximize office space and meet user needs

-Provide support after work hour if required in situations like assisting guest needs

-Perform related duties that may be assigned

Qualifications:
• They should know the principles of air-conditioning unit repair and maintenance, including controls, MSDS sheets, safety practices and procedures and tools used.
• They should be able to read and interpret building regulations and codes implemented by city, state and federal government agencies pertaining to installing air-conditioning units.
• Must be currently enrolled from an accredited university pursuing a degree in Refrigeration and Aircondition Servicing (RAC), Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent
