About You
GeneDyve is looking for an enthusiastic Associate Data Scientist Lead to help build out advanced data analytics capability. The role requires a rare combination of deep and sophisticated analytical expertise; business acumen; a strategic and technical mindset; and client, relationship and project management proficiency, together with a passion for building new capabilities and teams. This is an exciting opportunity to drive customer-centric thinking in a new and growing organization.

Your Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of data scientists
* Data analysis, visualizations, and research that provide customers insights and graphical visualizations of their results.
* Perform large-scale data analysis and develop effective statistical models for segmentation, classification, optimization, time series, etc.
* Present information using data visualization techniques and communicate findings and mine useful insights.
* Design and implement reporting dashboards that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights
* Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating results to cross-functional groups
* Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
* Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance.
* Explain how models and systems work to both non-technical and technical stakeholders.
* Build scalable and best-in-breed data science solutions, platforms and services that create significant business value
* Use Hadoop and other Big Data platforms along with the relevant programming / statistical package (such as R or Python) for large-scale problem solving
* Understand complex business challenges, develop hypotheses, convert into the right analytical problems, and communicate the results back to the partner teams with limited or no analytical background to drive the business strategy
* Expertise in modern statistics/data science/machine learning.
* Deliver strong written and verbal communications to collaborate with and influence business partners in driving high-value strategic decisions
* Direct project plans, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality, on time and within budget
* Suggest improvements in the tools and techniques to help scale the team
* Work closely with Product or Engineering & Operations teams to proactively create rule and manage decisions
* Develop research questions and undertake data exploration to understand who our listeners are, how they get value out of GeneDyve, and where we can develop our product to bring greater value
* Design, analyze, and interpret the results of customer orders?

Your Qualifications
* 3+ years professional data science experience.
* Experience in presenting qualitative and quantitative data
* Expertise in a statistical programming language (we use Python and R internally) and data access tools (e.g. SQL).
* Experience with programming in MATLAB/Julia/pandas is a plus
* Experience with PL/SQL is a plus
* Excellent data visualization and written communication skills to translate complex models and analysis results into layman terms.
* Extensive experience in analyzing large data sets using software such as R and Python
* Experience with data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling tools, underlying algorithms, relational databases and SQL
* Proven track record of using data to provide actionable business results
* Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, ability to explain complicated mathematical concepts, algorithms and data structures to all business partners
* Intellectual curiosity, action focus, innovation, passion, speed and resilience in dealing with data
* Strong influencing and partnership skills with ability to balance responsiveness to diverse requests from many stakeholders
* Polished written and oral communication skills, with ability to present and clearly explain data to non-technical executive audiences
* Strong project management skills and deep experience managing projects, budgets, and schedules to successful completion?

Pay Type: Competitive salary (Base Salary + Bonus, Base Salary Increases After 3 months by up to 50%)
