Kindergarten Teacher

· plan lessons and classroom activities systematically, carefully and thoroughly.

· strive for mastery of all aspects of the subject to arouse and maintain interest of the class.

· stimulate skillfully the thinking power of the pupils/students by asking intelligent and thought-provoking questions, thus, developing their ability to formulate opinions, clarify issues and make evaluations.

· give clear and definite instructions and sufficient time allowance for doing assignment and subject requirements.

· make information comprehensible to the pupils/students.

· strive to master the language of instruction.

· utilize effectively instructional tools that are:

- varied such as AV, anecdotes, illustrations, others

- adequate in reinforcing learning

- adequate in arousing interest

- economically prepared

· maintain order and cleanliness of the classroom.

· minimize, if not eliminate disturbances to learning.

· promote a human atmosphere that is congenial and conducive to learning.

· formulate objectives that are measurable/attainable.

· make known to the pupils/students the objectives of the lesson and lead them towards its attainment.

· explain to the class the grading system.

· design test questions and other evaluative tools like interviews, checklists, journal writing and others to measure varied learning competencies.

· personally administer quizzes/examinations.

· return promptly corrected test papers and other requirements.

· maintain a harmonious interpersonal relationship.

· demonstrate regularity and punctuality in attendance and submission of requirements/etc.

· manifest personal grooming.

· seek active membership in professional organizations.

· participate in seminar-workshops, training programs, recollections, retreats, or any activity that promotes growth in the person, profession, discipline and/or related areas.

· strive to do research and to come up with publications.

· pursue graduate studies on one’s area of specialization.

· make a clear and definite stand on various issues related to ecology, morality and others.

· be actively involved in the Community Outreach Program of the school.

· serve in committees, participate in academic planning and attend functions such as Faculty Meetings, Commencement Exercises, Recognition Ceremonies, etc.
