JOB OVERVIEW

My business offers financial analysis services in real estate and I am also an investor in the US, located close to Washington DC. I have 35 years of experience as a commercial real estate appraiser.
I seek a college educated, executive assistant & financial analyst to help me with various business tasks, and to grow and learn with me over time. Someone who is dedicated, loyal, hard-working, long-term (this job can last many years), with very strong English language skills in speaking and reading.
The key skills that are most important are: working with MS Excel, attention to detail, and strong technology skills in various areas. Experience in both finance and real estate are a plus, but not required. I can train you in most things where needed, but you need to be quick to learn, and able to research things and/or ask me questions if things are not clear.
I seek to hire the most talented individuals and to pay the highest compensation to those who are most qualified and talented. I plan on giving raises every six months, and year-end bonus.

REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience as a VA
Excel – reasonably strong knowledge and prior work experience
Bachelors college degree or higher, preferably a business-oriented degree
Strong technology skills and computer literacy

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Some assistance with Quickbook book keeping functions such as invoice preparation, matching bank entries, and posting transactions, and accounts payable work.
Monitoring calendars, and events, and scheduling with our small team of professionals.
Performing basic research on real estate properties from public web sites such as Google Maps, city and county sources such as GIS sites.
Providing administrative support including entering new assignments in our Valcre database, tracking assignment status, updating calendars.
Handling and monitoring various US requirements for business regulations, tax reporting, payment dates, monitoring insurance coverage/payments.
Excel spreadsheets – Involvement in tracking expenses and income, working with financial reports.
Providing some technical support to me; research solutions to various technical issues that occur. Applications our team uses are Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook., Excel, Word), Acrobat, (MS) One Drive, Iphone, Notion application and perhaps others.
Documenting / recording solutions to Issues to various technical issues and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) – within the Notion Application.
Providing instruction via phone or written instructions on procedures.
Possibly some light marketing functions such as entering, updating prospects and client contacts and sending out a relatively few emails weekly from my CRM application – HUBSPOT.
Assistance in Property Management, working along with hired property management people, monitoring expenses, capital expense projects.
Budgeting monthly / quarterly financial outlays and income items.
